Can we cover Miyako Island in one day?
Main spots can be covered in one day — three bridges, Yonaha Maehama, Sunayama and Higashi-Henna Cape. Budget 30-60 minutes per spot for a comfortable pace. For a more relaxed trip with time by the sea, consider two days.
How many people makes it worthwhile?
4 or more makes the per-person cost very reasonable, comparable to self-driving. For 6-9 people, chartering is clearly cheaper than renting — and no parking or navigation stress.
How far in advance should we book?
Peak season (July-September, Lunar New Year, public holidays) — book 1-2 weeks ahead. Regular days — 3 days minimum. Earlier is always better.
Does the price include entrance fees and meals?
Charter fee covers transportation only. We can recommend and book restaurants in advance to make sure you get a table.
Is chartering much more expensive than self-driving?
Once you factor in rental, parking and fuel, the gap is smaller than you think. For 4+ people the per-person cost is very reasonable. More importantly, you save your energy for the ocean.
